Therapy for Children, Teens, & Their Caregivers in Phoenix, AZ
When children go through overwhelm, whether from medical trauma, chronic stress, attachment disruption, grief, anxiety, neurodivergence, or other difficult experiences, their nervous systems often stay on alert long after the event is over.
This can look like meltdowns, anxiety, shutdown, emotional outbursts, perfectionism, sleep difficulties, withdrawal, clinginess, or struggles at school and at home. Other times, a child seems “fine” while quietly carrying more stress than their system knows how to process.
Underneath the behavior, there is almost always a nervous system trying to protect itself.
I work with children and teens ages 4–18 and their caregivers, in person in Phoenix or online.
Children don't heal in isolation. They heal in relationship.
How I Work: Relational, Nervous System-Based Therapy
I work relationally and through the nervous system, with caregivers as an essential part of the process. That isn't about blame. It's that relationship is where healing happens.
Many parents arrive exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure how to help, even though they love their child deeply. A child’s struggles can also stir up old attachment patterns, stress responses, or fears in the adults caring for them. We work with that gently and collaboratively, which supports both the child’s nervous system and the relationships around them.
Concerns I Support
I help children, teens, and families with:
Medical trauma and chronic illness
Adoption and attachment disruption
Anxiety and overwhelm
Highly sensitive children
Grief and loss
Perfectionism and high-functioning stress
Family transitions and relational strain

Safety grows in relationship, one moment of connection at a time.
For Caregivers
Caregivers are partners in this work. That includes getting curious about your own attachment patterns, stress responses, and history, with support and without shame.
Children take their cues about safety from the adults they love, and none of us gets that right every time. This work isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness and repair.
My role isn’t to “fix” your child. It’s to help create the conditions where safety, connection, and resilience can grow, in your child and in the family around them.
If you’re open to exploring this together, I’d be glad to hear from you.
